Dear Sir,

Sub: Revision of norms for manning coaches by the Ticket Checking Staff — Implementation of commitment-reg.

Ref: (i) NFIR’s PNM item No. 5/2015.

(ii) NFIR’s letter No 11/73 dated 31/03/2014, 30/04/2014 & 15/09/2014.

(iii) Railway Board’s letter No.97/TG-V/13/3 dated 01/08/2014 & 12/05/2015.

(iv) NFIR’s letter No. II/73/Part. I dated 03/07/2015, 07/09/2015, 04/01/2016, 29/02/2016, 08/04/2016 & 15/12/2016.

*********

In the NFIR’s PNM meeting, held with the Railway Board (Agenda Item No. 05/2015), the Federation contended that pursuant to an agreement reached between the NFIR and the Railway Board on PNM Item No. 36/1996, decision was given vide Commercial Circular No. 18/2000 dated 17/04/2000 with regard to norms for manning trains and reversing the said decision by the Board was improper. After discussions in the formal meetings, it was agreed by the Board to restore the decision dated 17/04/2000. Though several months passed, the Board have not fulfilled its commitment.

NFIR, therefore once again urges upon the Railway Board to kindly see that orders are issued as per agreement without further delay, duly endorsing copy of instructions to the Federation

Yours faithfully
S/d,
(Dr. M. Raghavaiah)
General Secretary
