Delay in payment of pension benefits to the Ex-Servicemen
The ex-gratia amount of Rs.9 lakhs has not been disbursed to the ex-servicemen by UCO Bank, Jhajjar Branch. There is likelihood of more cases. This has resulted in dissatisfaction and depression to ex-servicemen even after rendering efficient service in Defence. This has caused criticism on the PSBs. With little concentration by the concerned officials, this could have been avoided.
The banks should be advised to release pension benefits to the ex-servicemen without any delay. Proper action should be taken by CPPCs to release pension dues to Armed Forces Pensioners. The steps taken should be conveyed to the Dept of Fin Services.
