The Government of India, Ministry of Railways, Railway Board has issued a notification regarding the extension of timelines for the completion of Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APAR) for the year 2022-2023. The letter, dated June 21, 2023, refers to an earlier communication from the Railway Board on April 3, 2023, which provided timelines for the finalization of APARs.
Based on the Department of Personnel and Training’s (DOP&T) instruction dated June 15, 2023, extending the timelines for APAR completion, the competent authority has decided on revised timelines for the finalization of APARs for non-gazetted employees in the Railways for the year 2022-2023. The extension of timelines is stated as a one-time measure, and no further extensions will be granted.

Kindly refer to Board’s letter mentioned above advising timelines for completion of various stages in finalisation of APARs of 2022-23.
- Now, in view of the DOP & T’s instruction dated 15.06.2023 extending timelines for completion of APARs of 2022-23, it has been decided by the competent authority that following timelines may now be adhered for finalization of APARs of 2022-23 for non-gazetted employees in Railways.
