NMC New Guidelines for MBBS 2022
The National Medical Commission is working on the new licensing process for 2022. The ‘Licensure to Practice Medicine 2022’, the ‘Registration of Additional Qualifications’, and the ‘Provisional Registration of Foreign Medical Practitioner to Practice Medicine in India’ are all being revised as per need. These regulations together stipulate the process of registration of doctors in the National Medical Register. As of now, all doctors are required to register their documents with their respective state medical councils – and without this, they can’t officially practice medicine.
According to the rules, all Indian medical students should have finished their MBBS degree from a recognized institution and completed the mandatory 12-month long internship before they are eligible to take a licentiate exam called National Exit Test (NExT) to get their registration.
