The Indian Railways will be restarting the recruitment of men football players under sports quota, both through talent scouting and open advertisement, with immediate effect. This decision has been made in light of the recent change in the condition of mandatory quota for Under-21 players in the Santosh Trophy by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The recruitment will have the same age condition as applicable for other games and has been approved by the Director General of Human Resources and the President of the Railway Sports Promotion Board.
