Deciding the rate of platform tickets for the purpose of regulating rush

All Zonal Railways

Sub: Withdrawal of power delegated to Divisional Railway Managers to decide rate of platform tickets.

Ref: Commercial Circular no. 17 of 2015 dated 16.03.2015.

Vide above mentioned Commercial Circular, Ministry of Railways had delegated powers to Divisional Railway Manager (DRMs) to decide the rate of platform tickets for the purpose of regulating rush at platforms during specific requirements like mela, rally etc under intimation to this office.

2. The same has been reviewed and it has been decided that the power delegated to Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) to decide the rate of platform tickets shall be treated as withdrawn with immediate effect.

3. However, other terms end conditions of the referred Commercial Circular no. 17 of 2015 dated 16.03.2015 shall continue.

4. Ensure action accordingly and confirm.

5. This issues in consultation with Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
