Temporary Closure of Central Govt Offices in Delhi During G-20 Summit

The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India, has announced the closure of Central Government Offices situated in Delhi from September 8th to September 10th, 2023.

This decision is in connection with the upcoming G-20 Summit scheduled to take place in Delhi on September 9th and 10th. The Summit will see the participation of numerous Heads of States, Heads of Governments, including EU representatives, invited guest nations, and Heads of International Organizations.

Considering the significant preparations and logistics required for the event, the closure aims to facilitate the successful organization of the G-20 Summit. All concerned parties are requested to take note of this closure period.

Subject: Closing of Central Government Offices located in Delhi from 08-09-2023 to 10-09-2023 on the occasion of G-20 Summit in Delhi.

The undersigned is directed to say that the G-20 Summit will be held in Delhi on 9-10 September, 2023. The Summit will be attended by a number of Heads of States, Heads of Government including EU, invitee guest countries and Heads of International Organizations.

  1. Recognizing the magnitude of this event and the substantial logistical arrangements involved, it has been decided to keep the Central Government Offices located in Delhi closed from 08-09-2023 to 10-09-2023 on the occasion of G-20 summit to be held in Delhi
  2. This may be brought to the notice of all concerned.
