The Ministry of Communication, Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, has released a revised set of guidelines, as outlined in the memorandum with reference number IT-11/3/2022-ADGIT3. This memorandum, dated August 18, 2023, pertains to the purchase of laptops, notebooks, and similar devices for eligible officers.
The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, has updated the instructions for such purchases, superseding their previous instructions from 2018 and 2020. The new guidelines are endorsed in this memorandum, and the attached Annexure-A and Annexure-B provide the revised proforma for submitting requisitions for these devices. The memorandum has been issued with the approval of DDG (IT) by Arpit Shukla, ADG (IT-III).

Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance has revised the instructions regarding purchase of laptops/notebooks and similar devices for eligible officers vide OM No. 03(20)/2022-E. II (A) dated 21 July, 2023 in supersession to their OM bearing No. 08(34)/2017-E. II (A) dated 20.02.2018 and OM No. 3(6)/2020-E. II (A) dated 27.03.2020. The revised instructions are hereby endorsed.
- New requisition for laptops/ Notebooks and similar devices may be sent in the revised proforma attached as Annexure-A & Annexure-B.
