Shri Krishna Janmashtami Katha Overview

The Krishna birth story also has a meaning. Devaki symbolizes the human body while Vasudeva symbolizes the life force. When the life force increases in the human body, the realization of Krishna or bliss is attained. Kansa is Devaki’s brother, i.e. Devaki’s brother, who symbolizes ego. The ego comes with the human body. yes/no? Ego seeks the destruction of Krsna, that is, pleasure. A happy person does not bother anyone. A person who is sad and emotionally hurt continues to create disruptions. Individuals who feel they have been wronged tend to wrong others because of their bruised ego.

Shri Krishna Janmashtami Vrat Katha

The story of Krishna’s birth also has a profound meaning. Devaki symbolizes the body while Vasudeva symbolizes life energy (prana). As Prana increases in the body, Ananda (Krishna) is born. But the ego (Kamsa) tries to destroy that happiness. Kansa is the brother of Devaki which shows that the ego is born with the body. A person who is happy and content does not create any nuisance for others. A person who is sad and suffering on an emotional level is happy to break up. Those who feel they have been wronged tend to wrong others because of their wounded egos.

The biggest enemy of ego is happiness. Where there is love and happiness, the ego cannot survive and the ego has to bow to it. No matter how high a person is in the society, he melts in front of his little baby. No matter how strong a person is, she is helpless when her child falls ill. Ego dissolves before love, innocence and joy. Krishna is the embodiment of bliss, the essence of innocence and the ultimate source of love.

Kansa’s imprisonment of Devaki and Vasudeva shows that when the ego is dominant, the body feels like a prison. When Krishna was born, the prison guards were asleep. Here our sense organs are the guardians that nurture the ego. Because when they are awake, their attention is directed towards the outer world. When those senses are turned inward, our inner joy begins to blossom. Krishna is also known as ‘Makhanchor’. Milk is the essence of nutrients and curd is the form of milk itself. When the curd penetrates, the butter comes out and floats to the top. It is nutritious and light, not heavy. Similarly, when our intellect is penetrated, it becomes like butter. When knowledge arises in the mind, that person is located in his inner self. Such a person is detached from this world and his mind is not engaged in the world. Krishna’s stealing of butter is a symbol of the glory of love. Krishna’s charm and skill are so attractive that he steals the heart of even the most dispassionate person.

Why is there a morpis on Krishna’s head? A king is responsible for all his subjects, and that responsibility can become a burden that rests on his head in the form of a crown. But Krishna fulfills his responsibility with ease, lilaya, like a game. A mother never finds it a burden to take care of her children. Similarly, Krishna performs his duties with ease and plays his roles with various colors like the morpisa on his crown.

Krishna is the most charming, blissful essence within us all. Only when there is no restlessness, anxiety or desire in the mind can you achieve deep relaxation. And it is in such deep rest that Krishna is born.

The message of Krishna Janma is that this is the time to bring happiness to the society. Really… take being happy “seriously”.
