TN Government Marriage Scheme Summary
Tamil Nadu Government Marriage Scheme has been started by the Tamil Nadu State Government, through which the government will provide financial assistance for the expenses incurred in the marriage of the daughters of the economically weaker families of the state. Under this scheme, various types of assistance will be provided to the daughters of poor families as well as orphan girls, widows remarrying, widow daughter marriage, or inter-caste married couples. Under this scheme started by the state government, the government has started 5 types of different schemes. Such citizens who want to get the benefits under this scheme, their annual family income should not exceed Rs 72000.
The benefit of the scheme will be given to all those beneficiaries who have a degree or diploma, they will be provided a total assistance of Rs 50000, Out of which Rs 30000 will be given through Direct Benefit Transfer and Rs 20,000 will be given for manufacturing of 4 grams 22 carat gold coin along with National saving certificate.
Eligibility Criteria of Tamil Nadu Government Marriage Scheme
Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu state
- If the applicant belongs to the general category, then it will be mandatory for them to be at least 10th pass.
- Under this scheme, if the beneficiary belongs to the scheduled tribe, it will be mandatory for him to have at least 5th pass.
- The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs.72000/-
Dr. Dharmambal Ammaiyar Ninaivu Widow Remarriage Assistance Scheme
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu state
- There is no income limit or educational qualification prescribed for availing the benefits under this scheme.
- This scheme can be availed in case of widow remarriage.
EVR Maniammaiyar Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu state
- The benefit of this scheme will be available only to the daughters of the widowed women citizens of the state.
- The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs.72000/-
Annai Therasa Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu state
- Only orphan girls of the state can get the benefit of this scheme.
- There is no income limit for availing the benefits under this scheme.
- If the applicant belongs to the general category, then it will be mandatory for them to be at least 10th pass.
- Under this scheme, if the beneficiary belongs to the scheduled tribe, it will be mandatory for him to have at least 5th pass.
Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Ninaivu Inter-Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu state
- Only inter-caste married couples of the state will get the benefit of this scheme.
- There is no income limit or educational qualification prescribed for availing the benefits under this scheme.

Steps to Apply for Tamil Nadu Marriage Assistance Scheme:
- First of all you have to go to your nearest social welfare department office. Now you have to take the application form for this scheme from the office according to your eligibility criteria.
- After this you have to enter the details of all the necessary information asked in this application form. Now you have to attach all the required documents along with the application form.
- After that you have to submit this application form and attached documents in the office of the Social Welfare Department.
