Re-Employment of Ex-Servicemen

May 3, 2020 rajasinghmurugesan

Government has taken cognizance of the grievances of ex-servicemen re-employed as security personnel in various organisations including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.

The grievances are mainly related to reduction in the number of security guards. As per Government’s policy all Central Public Sector Units / Enterprises (CPSUs/CPSEs) including BSNL have to employ security guards sponsored only by Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR) or concerned State Ex-Servicemen Board. Instructions of Department of Public Enterprises and DGR in this regard are required to be adhered to by the CPSUs/CPSEs. Appropriate action is taken by the concerned authorities wherever deviation from existing instructions are brought to notice.

This information was given by Minister of State for Defence Shri MM Pallam Raju in a written reply to Shri PT Thomas in Lok Sabha today.
