6th Central Pay Commission has recommended that all posts of staff in Group ‘D’ categories will be placed in the revised Pay Band – 1 alongwith Grade Pay of Rs. 1800/- once the staff occupying these posts, are suitably retrained and made multi-skilled. In view of this recommendation of 6th CPC, it has been decided to train all Group `D’ staff of the canteens namely, Safaiwala, Wash Boy, Bearer and Tea/Coffee Maker, working in the non-statutory Canteens, who do not possess minimum essential qualifications, are required to be made multi-skilled for placement in
