CASUALTIES SUFFERED BY ARMED FORCES JAWANS

SHRI MALLIKARJUN KHARGE:
Will the Minister of Defence be pleased to state:

(a) the total number of casualties (fatal and non-fatal) suffered by Armed Forces jawans in terrorist attacks across the country in the last five years, year-wise;

(b) the details of the compensation and support provided to the families of the deceased/injured soldiers over this period; and

(c) the details of the total compensation given to families of such deceased soldiers in the current year?

MINISTER OF STATE (SHRI AJAY BHATT) IN THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE

(a): The details of battle casualties (fatal and non-fatal) suffered by the armed forces personnel in terrorist attacks/ Counter Terrorist Operations during the last five years are as under:

No Naval personnel suffered any casualty during this period.

(b) Details of compensation and support provided to the families of the deceased/injured soldiers of Indian Army are as under:

(c): The details of the total compensation from Armed Forces Battle Casualty Fund given to the families of the deceased soldiers in the current year is as under:
