Ministry or Department should consider obtaining pension forms and papers from the retiring government servant one year before their retirement date instead of six months, to determine the amount of government dues and process family pensions faster.
The report recommends that the Central Pension Accounting Office (CPAO) should publicize the web-responsive Pensioners’ service portal through all possible means including the print and electronic media to increase its reachability to the targeted population groups.
