GOVERNMENT OF KERALA
Consequent to the revision of pension/ family pension and other related benefits of State Government pensioners and family pensioners as per the Government Order read above, Government are pleased to revise the rate of pension of persons directly recruited to the personal staff of Ministers, Leader of Opposition and Government Chief Whip as follows:
i. Minimum pension is enhanced to Rs.1200/-pm and is applicable to all those who are now in receipt of minimum pension.
ii. In the case of those who retire on or after 01.07.2009, their pension shall be fixed on the basis of average emoluments on the revised scale of pay. For computing ten month’s emoluments for the purpose of arriving at the average emoluments for pension in respect of those retired on or after 01.07.2009 and who during part of the said period of 10 months, drew pay in the pre-revised scale, their pay in the pre-revised scale shall be enhanced notionally by adding DA at 64%.
iii. In the case of those who were in receipt of pension prior to 01.07.2009, their pension shall be revised by merging 64% DR and 12% fitment benefit on the existing pre-revised basic pension.
