Government of Tamilnadu entrusted their responsibility of assuring health care to all their employees family numbering in whopping 13lacs. This scheme envisages medical assistance for Major surgeries/critical illnesses to the employees and their family members up to 2 lacs for a block of four years on floater basis.
Period of Insurance:
The Period of Insurance would be for four years from 11-06-2008 to 10-06-2012 or up to the Date of Retirement of the Employee which ever occurs earlier.
Sum Insured:
The Sum Insured is Rs.2,00,000/- [Rs.Two lakhs] for a entire period of Four Years for the entire family on floater basis. This scheme covers the employees of
Tamilnadu Government
State Public Sector Undertakings
Local bodies
State Government Universites
All Statutory Boards under TN govt.
As per the Policy:
Family includes the Employee, and the members of his or her family who are eligible for assistance under the Scheme as detailed below:
(i) legal spouse of the Employee;
(ii) Children of the Employee – till they get employed or married or attain the age of 25 years whichever is earlier and dependent on the Employee;
(iii) the parents of the Employee, in the case of unmarried employee until the Employee gets married;
