State of West Bengal has one Sainik School in Purulia district. Besides, In-principle approval for setting up a Sainik School in Darjeeling was conveyed to the State Government of West Bengal. There has been no response from the State Government of West Bengal, till date.
Vacant teachers and other staff posts – Loksabha
The total number of vacant teaching and non-teaching posts in 42 Central Universities under the purview of Ministry of Education as on 01.09.2020 is 6210 and 12437 respectively. In Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), 196 teaching posts and 1090 non-teaching posts are vacant as on 01.07.2020 and 31.12.2019 respectively

NEP 2020 further stipulates Public and private schools to be assessed and accredited on the same criteria, benchmarks, and processes, emphasizing online and offline public disclosure and transparency, so as to ensure that public-spirited private schools are encouraged and not stifled in any way.

Clarification on physical presence of witnesses for deceased claim case – DOP
clarifying that the physical presence of witnesses is not required, if self attested photocopy of ID/Address proof of witnesses containing signature of the witness concerned are produced along with other claim documents
