The Ministry of Finance, Department of Public Enterprises, Government of India has issued an office memorandum regarding the payment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to the employees of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) who are following the CDA pattern pay scales. The memorandum states that the DA payable to the employees will be enhanced from the existing rate of 42% to 46% with effect from 01.07.2023.
The memorandum also mentions that the payment of Dearness Allowance involving fractions of 50 paise and above will be rounded off to the next higher rupee, while fractions of less than 50 paise will be ignored. These revised rates are applicable to CDA employees whose pay has been revised with effect from 01.01.2016 as per the Department of Public Enterprises’ earlier memorandum dated 17.08.2017.
