In a recent Office Memorandum dated October 20, 2023, the Government of India’s Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, has made a significant announcement regarding the revision of Dearness Allowance for Central Government employees. The revised rates, effective from July 1, 2023, will increase the Dearness Allowance from 42% to 46% of the Basic Pay. This decision is in line with the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
