Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign in Departmental Canteens

The Government of India’s Department of Personnel, P.G. and Pensions has issued an Office Memorandum regarding the “Swachhata Hi Seva-Garbage Free India Campaign Special Cleanliness Drive” in Non-Statutory departmental canteens. This campaign, taking place from 15th September to 2nd October 2023, aims to promote cleanliness and a garbage-free India.

The Office of the Director (CEC) is responsible for guiding policies and instructions related to Non-Statutory Departmental Canteens and their staff. As part of this initiative, all Non-Statutory Departmental Canteens, which operate under the administrative control of various ministries and departments, are required to conduct a special cleanliness drive from 25th to 30th September 2023.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: – Swachhata Hi Seva-Garbage Free India Campaign Special Cleanliness Drive in the Non- Statutory departmental Canteens – regarding.

The undersigned is directed to refer to aforementioned subject and to say that Government of India is celebrating “Swachhata Hi Seva-Garbage Free India” Campaign from 15.09.2023 to 02.10.2023.

  1. The Office of the Director (CEC) is the nodal agency for laying down policies/ guidelines/ instructions on various aspects of Non-Statutory Departmental Canteens and its employees. The Non-Statutory Departmental Canteens functioning under administrative control of respective ministries/ departments are to organize a special cleanliness drive between 25th and 30th September, 2023.
  2. All Ministries/Departments are requested to adhere to the guidelines/ instructions as mentioned and upload photos before and after the cleanliness drive on (https://swachhbharatmission.gov.in/shs2023/). A report may be furnished to this Department on nsd.cec-dopt[at]gov.in by 6th October, 2023.
