The Government of India’s Ministry of Defense, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, has issued a significant directive dated 21st September 2023, addressed to the Chief of the Defence Staff, the Chief of the Army Staff, the Chief of the Naval Staff, and the Chief of the Air Staff. I am directed to say that the President is pleased to decide that with effect from 21st September, 2023 and in supersession of all previous orders/rules on the subject, the Entitlement Rules-2023 and Guide to Medical Officers-2023 set out in Appendix-I and Appendix-II respectively to this letter shall apply in cases of disablement or death of service personnel.
- This issues with the concurrence of Ministry of Defence (Finance) vide their I.D Note No. 10(03)/2023/Fin/Pen dated 20.09.2023.
