The Indian Ministry of Railways, through a letter (No. 2023/E&R/1(7)/1) dated 18.08.2023, has issued an addendum to a previous communication (No. 2023/E&R/1(7)/1 dated 17.07.2023) addressed to the General Managers of all Zonal Railways and Production Units. The addendum pertains to standardized alphabetical codes for Zones and Divisions within the Indian railway system.
