The Government of India, Ministry of Railways, has announced the rate of interest for the State Railway Provident Fund during the 2nd Quarter of the financial year 2023-24. According to the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs’ Resolution F.No. 5(3)-B(PD)/2023 dated 4th July 2023, the interest rate for the period from 1st July 2023 to 30th September 2023 is set at 7.1% (Seven point one percent). This rate applies to the accumulations at the credit of the subscribers to the State Railway Provident Fund. The announcement encourages the concerned authorities to take necessary action based on this information.
