MoD Approves Removal of ‘Revaluation of Answer Books’ in SAS Examination

The Office of the Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) has issued a circular regarding the removal of the provision for ‘Revaluation of Answer Books’ in the SAS (Senior Accounts Officer) Rules 2019. The circular, numbered AN/SAS/16200/ORDERs/2022/VOL-XII and dated 06/07/2023, is addressed to all PCsDA (Principal Controllers of Defence Accounts), including Principal IFAs (Integrated Financial Advisors), all Controllers of Defence Accounts, including IFAs/RTCs (Regional Training Centers), and the Principal Controller of Accounts (Fys) in Kolkata.

Subject: Removal of the provision of ‘Revaluation of Answer Books’ in SAS Rules 2019

Ref: HQrs. Office Most Important Circular No.AN/SAS/16200/ Restructuring/ 2019 dated 22.03.2019

Reference is invited to HQrs. Office Most Important Circular cited under reference regarding restructuring of SAS Examination (Computer Based Test) and notification of SAS Rules 2019.

  1. Consequent upon conduct of SAS Examination on Computer Based Test (CBT), the provision regarding revaluation of answer books specified in Rule 20 of SAS Rules 2019 has now been removed. Accordingly, there would not be any provision of revaluation of the response sheet of the candidates appearing in SAS Examination (Computer Based Test).
  2. This issues with the approval of MoD (Fin) vide their ID No. 26(1)/DAD/C/2022 dated 05.07.2023.
  3. The content of the circular may please be brought to the notice of all concerned.
