Prioritizing Inter Railway Transfer Requests of Railway Staff

The Railway Board has issued a circular, RBE No. 83/2023, addressing the inter railway request transfer applications of staff seeking transfers to other divisions or railways. The circular refers to previous letters, dated 02.02.2023 and 13.04.2023, advising all Zonal Railways and Production Units (PU’s) to utilize the opportunity provided by the large Direct Recruitment (DR) panel to consider pending transfer applications. The staff federations have also emphasized the need for prompt disposal of transfer requests considering the availability of a substantial panel through the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC).

Sub: Inter Railway request transfer applications of staff seeking transfer to other Divisions/Railways etc., – reg.

Ref: (i) Board’s letter no. E(NG)I/2023/TR/05 dated 02.02.2023
(ii) Board’s letter no. E(NG)I/2023/TR/05 dated 13.04.2023

Kindly refer to Board’s letters of even no. dated 02.02.2023 and 13.04.2023 (copies enclosed) on the subject mentioned above wherein all Zonal Railways & PU’s have been advised to make use of the opportunity being presented by way of the large DR panel for considering the pending transfer applications. Both the staff federations have also requested for expeditious disposal of transfer requests in wake of a large panel made available through RRB/RRC. It is presumed that necessary action is being taken by the Railways in the matter. It is reiterated that the transfer cases may be processed on priority wherever feasible.

Further, it is also advised that all mutual transfers cases pending for NOC may be finalized on priority. Attention in this connection is invited to DG/HR’s DO letter no. E(NG)I/2022/TR/39 dated 23.12.2022 to the General Managers.
