Indian Railways Takes Steps to Strengthen Safety Organization

The Ministry of Railways in India has decided to strengthen the Safety Organization of Indian Railways by transferring five supervisory level staff members from Northern Railway to the Safety Directorate of the Railway Board’s office. The decision was made in a meeting held on 17.05.2023.

Each staff member will be selected from the Traffic, S&T, Civil Engineering, Electrical, and Mechanical Departments. The General Manager of Northern Railway has been advised to take immediate action in transferring these vacant posts to the Safety Directorate. This move aims to enhance the safety measures and operations of Indian Railways.

Sub: Strengthening of the Safety Organization of Indian Railways.

The issue of Strengthening of the Safety Organization of Indian Railways was recently considered by the Board in the meeting held on 17.05.2023, wherein the Board decided to post 05 supervisory level staff, one each belonging to Traffic, S&T, Civil Engg., Electrical and Mechanical Departments, in Safety Directorate of Board’s office. It was further decided that these posts should be transferred from Northern Railway.

In view of the above, Northern Railway is advised to take immediate action for transferring 05 vacant posts of supervisory level staff, one each belonging to Traffic, S&T, Civil, Engg., Electrical and Mechanical Departments, to Safety Directorate of Board’s office.
