The Office of the Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, has issued an Office Memorandum regarding the book adjustment for PLI (Postal Life Insurance) premium collection through salary deduction from other Departments/Ministries.
The memorandum instructs all Pay and Accounts Offices (PAOs) and Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) to send monthly PLI schedules to the mapped Central Processing Centre (CPC) or the nearest Head Post Offices for updating policies. A copy of the schedules should also be sent to the Director, PLI Kolkata, for acknowledgement and confirmation of the booked amount.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Book Adjustment for PLI Premium collection through Salary Deduction from other Departments/Ministries.
Reference is invited to Letter no. 63-01/2022.1.1 dated 19 May 2022 regarding discontinuance of book ‘adjustment for PLI premium collection through salary deduction from other Ministries/Departments. The matter was under consultation with Directorate of PLI and it is confirmed that procedure of adjustment of PLI premia through book Adjustment shall continue as per Para 8.2.1 of Civil Accounts Manual.
All PAOs/DDOs may be instructed to send monthly PLI schedules to mapped Central Processing Centre (CPC)/ nearest Head Post Offices for updation of policies with a copy to Director, PLI Kolkata, Koilaghat Street, Kolkata-700001 for acknowledgement and confirmation of booked amount.
