Handling Non-Joining and Resignation/Demise of Candidates in GDCE

May 3, 2023 by Eliza Leave a Comment

The Railway Board has issued a notification, RBE No.56/2023, stating that in the event of non-joining of candidates, or their resignation/demise within the currency of the panel, the Zonal Railways can seek a replacement list from Railway Recruitment Cells (RRCs) as per their requirement and available vacancies.

This instruction, contained in Railway Board’s letter No. 2021/E(RRB)/23/09 dated 22.10.2021 and No. E(NG)IT/2022/RR-I/8 dated 15.03.2022, is now applicable for General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE). The decision has been taken in response to a clarification sought by one of the Zonal Railways. The notification also disposes off South East Central Railway’s letter No. P-HQ/RRC/GDCE/01/2018/ALP & Tech./787 dated 22.07.2022.

This also disposes off South East Central Railway’s letter No. P-HQ/RRC/GDCE/01/2018/ALP & Tech./787 dated 22.07.2022.
