Fund for Modernization of Non-Statutory Departmental Canteens

The Office Memorandum (OM) issued by the Government of India’s Ministry of Personnel & Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training, addresses the grant of funds for the modernization of non-statutory departmental canteens located in Central Government Offices.

The memorandum refers to a previous OM dated 31.07.2015 and requests ministries and departments to assess the need for modernization of canteens under their administrative charge. Proposals for the grant should be submitted by June 2023, with the approval of their respective Integrated Financial Divisions (IFDs).

Ministries and departments that have already received grants and forwarded proposals in the past need not submit proposals again. The memorandum also requests the provision of details regarding the Authorized Controller Code, Authorized PAO Code, and Authorized DDO of the concerned department. The memo is signed by Kulbhushan Malhotra, an Under Secretary to the Government of India.

OFFICE MEMORANDIM

Subject: – Grant of fund for modernisation of Non-Statutory Departmental Canteen located in Central Government Offices- reg.

The undersigned is directed to refer to Department’s O.M. No, – 20/6 /2015-Dir.(C) dated 31.07.2015 (copy enclosed) on the above subject and to invite proposals for grant of funds for modernisation of departmental canteens functioning from Central Government Offices.

  1. The Ministries Departments are requested to assess the Heed for modernization of departmental canteens under their administrative charge and may submit their proposals in accordance with the ibid O.M. after obtaining the approval of their IFDs by June 2023. As this is one time grant. the Ministries/ Departments who have already forwarded the proposals received the grant earlier, need not submit the proposal again.

3, In addition, it is also requested to provide the details of Authorised Controller Code (Pr, AO), Authorized, PAO code and Authorised DDO of the concerned Department Departed.
