Efficient Management of Inter Railway Transfer Requests

The Indian Ministry of Railways has issued a circular, RBE No. 53/2023, addressed to all Zonal Railways and Production Units (PU’s) regarding inter-railway transfer applications of staff seeking transfers to other divisions or railways.

The circular reiterates the importance of processing transfer cases on priority wherever feasible and advises that mutual transfer cases pending for NOC (No Objection Certificate) should also be finalized on priority.

The circular refers to previous letters from the Railway Board and DG/HR DO regarding the matter. The circular is dated 13.04.2023 and signed by Sanjay Kumar, Dy. Director/Estt.(N) Railway Board.

Ref: Board’s letter no. E(NG)I/2023/1R/05 dated 02.02.2023

Kindly refer to Board’s letter of even no. dated 02.02.2023 (copy enclosed) on the subject mentioned above wherein all Zonal Railways & PU’s have been advised to make use of the opportunity being presented by way of the large panel for considering the pending transfer applications. It is reiterated that the transfer cases may be processed on priority wherever feasible.

Further, it is also advised that all mutual transfers cases pending for NOC may be finalised on priority. Attention in this connection is invited to DG/HR DO letter no. E(NG)I/2022/TR/39 dated 23.12.2022 to the General Managers.
