March 24, 2023 by Eliza Leave a Comment

The Indian Ministry of Railways has issued a new dress code for Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) personnel. The new dress code will be applicable during official functions such as sports and cultural events, formal dinners, ceremonial functions, Barakhana, etc. The dress code for men includes a white formal shirt, navy blue blazer with grey trousers, plain black leather oxford shoes, and black leather belt. Women RPF/RPSF personnel may wear saree, business suits, or any other appropriate formal dress. GOs and NGOs will wear approved ties respectively. It is also mentioned that GOs and other ranks should dress appropriately while attending office, and no casual outfits like jeans, sports shoes, open shoes or sandals/slippers, t-shirts, or low waist trousers are allowed. This decision has been made under the provisions laid down in rule 121.1 of the RPF Rules, 1987, and has the approval of the DG/RPF.
