Simplifying the Process of Compassionate Appointments in DOP

The Ministry of Communications, Department of Posts in India has modified the Relative Merit Points System (RMPS) and procedure for compassionate appointments in the Department of Posts. The main delay in processing the compassionate appointment cases was in getting immovable property valuation reports and income certificates from Revenue authorities as prescribed in Variables No. (iii) & (iv) of RMPS issued on 23.03.2022. The Notes under these variables have been modified to simplify the process and avoid delays. The modified procedure will be applicable for cases considered by CRC for the vacancy year 2022 and onwards. This information has been circulated to all offices under their administrative control for dealing with requests/applications seeking appointment on compassionate grounds.
