The government of Tripura has announced the release of a further installment of Dearness Relief @ 12% over the basic pension/basic family pension. The total quantum of Dearness Relief payable to the State Government pensioners and family pensioners will now be 20% with effect from December 1, 2022. The Pension Disbursing Authorities are authorized to calculate and disburse Dearness Relief to each individual case. The expenditure on payment of Dearness Relief will be debited to the Major Head ‘2071-Pension and other Retirement Benefits’.

MEMORANDUM
Subject: Release of further installment of Dearness Relief.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the subject mentioned above and to state that the Governor of Tripura is pleased to decide grant of further installment of Dearness Relief @ 12% over the basic pension/ basic family pension as admissible under Tripura State Civil Services (Revised Pension) Rules, 2017 read with its 1st Amendment, 2018 with effect from 01-12-2022, to the State Government pensioners and family pensioners. With the release of this installment, total quantum of Dearness Relief payable to the State Government pensioners and family pensioners with effect from 01-12-2022 shall stand at 20 % ( 8% + 12 %) over the Basic pension/ family pension, as the case may be.
2.The payment on account of Dearness Relief involving fractions of 50 paisa and above may be rounded off to the next higher rupee and the fractions of less than 50 paisa may be ignored.
3.The Pension Disbursing Authorities including Public Sector Banks handling disbursement of pension/ family pension to the State Government Pensioners / Family Pensioners are authorized to calculate and disburse Dearness Relief at the above rate and manner in each individual case from 01-12-2022.
4.The expenditure on payment of Dearness Relief on pension/ family pension to the State Government Pensioners / Family Pensioners respectively shall be debitable to the Major Head ‘2071-Pension and other Retirement Benefits’.
