Subject: – Identification of the post of PS. Gr. B Cadre, ASP Cadre and LSG/HSG-IV/HSG-I for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBDs) in accordance with Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016-reg

I am directed to inform to you that in pursuance of Department of Personnel & Training OM No. 36012/1/2020-Estt. (Res.) dated 17.05.2022 and Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Notification No. 38-16/2020-DD-III dated 04.01.2021, the Competent Authority has identified the below mentioned posts under promotion for various categories of PwBDs as mentioned before them:-

Sl. No. Post Physical Requirement Categories suitable for jobs.
1 Postal Service Group B Cadre (PS.Gr. B Cadre) S, ST, W, RW, SE, C and H. (a) Low Vision (LV), Blind (B)

 

(b) Deaf (D) Hard of hearing (HH),
(c) One Arm (OA), One Leg (OL), One Arm and One Leg (OAOL), Both Legs affected but not Arms (BL), Leprosy Cured (LC), Muscular weakness and limited physical endurance (MW), Cerebral Palsy (CP); Dwarfism (Dw), Acid Attack Victim (AAV).
(d) Autism Spectrum Disorder (Mild) {ASD (M)}, intellectual disability (ID), Specific learning disability (SLD) and Mental Illness (MI).
(e) Multiple disabilities from amongst disabilities mentioned above.
2 Assistant Superintend of Posts (ASP) S, ST, W, RW, SE, C and H. (a) Low Vision (LV),

 

(b) Hard of hearing (HH)
(c) One Arm (OA), One Leg (OL), One Arm and One Leg (OAOL), Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victim.
Multiple disabilities from amongst disabilities mentioned above.
3 Lower Selection Grade (LSG)/Higher Selection Grade-II (HSG-II)/Higher Selection Grade-I (HSG-I) S, ST, W, MF, SE, H and C (a) Low Vision WV), Blind (B)

 

(b) Deaf (D) Hard of hearing (HH)
(c) One Arm (OA), One Leg (OL), One Arm and One Leg (OAOL), Both Legs affected but not Arms, Muscular weakness and limited physical endurance (MW), Cerebral Palsy (CP), Leprosy Cured (LC), Dwarfism (Dw), Acid Attack Victim (AAV).
(d) Autism Spectrum Disorder (Mild) {ASD (M)}, intellectual disability (ID), Specific learning disability (SLD) and Mental Illness(MI).
(e) Multiple disabilities from amongst disabilities mentioned above.

*In respect of all the posts mentioned above, provision of Note 3 of the DEPwD Notification No. 38-16/2020-DD-III dated 04.01.2021 will also be followed which read as under:-

“If a post is already held by a person with benchmark disability, it shall be deemed to have been identified for that category of benchmark disability”.
