Sugam Shraddha Paddhati Overview
On the day of Shradh, devotees should first offer Pind Daan to their father on the day of Shradh of their ancestors. After this, pind should be given to grandfather and then to great-grandfather.
During this chanting of Gayatri Mantra along with chanting of Somay Pitrumate Swaha is also beneficial. Shradh is performed for the peace of the ancestors’ souls and for their tarpan. The meaning of Shradh here is to show respect to one’s ancestors with reverence. In Shradh Paksha, respect is given to one’s ancestors for a period of 15 days at a particular time.
What should be done during Shradh?
Tarpan-
Offer milk, sesame, kusha, flowers, fragrant water to the Pitras daily.
The offering of libations of water to the gods-
Offer food to the needy by donating rice or barley pinds.
Clothing Donation:
Give clothes to the poor.
Dakshina:
After having food, give dakshina and also touch your feet.
Social acts like education donation, blood donation, food donation, tree plantation or medical related donation must be done in the name of ancestors.

Benefits:
Whoever has Pitra Dosh, Kaal Sarp Dosh or Grahan Dosh in his horoscope, despite everything in his life, nothing is found. The main causes of Pitra Dosh are the debilitation of Sun in the fifth house, absence of planets in front and back, Sun Mars, Saturn or Jupiter and Rahu in the eighth and twelfth house, creating Pitra Dosh. Due to which the living being suffers a lot in this world. To get rid of this, the ancestors are pacified at this time by Narayan Nag-Nagbali or Tripindi Shradh.
