56 Bhog List Overview
During the worship on the day of Janmashtami, Chhappan Bhog is offered to Lord Krishna. On this day Krishna devotees spend the whole day chanting the name of Krishna. And end the day with the breaking of their fast after offering prayers and enjoyment to their dearest beloved Krishna. Fifty-six bhog is offered to the red of Nand on this day.
This is mentioned in the Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran, from which we get to know the story behind the fifty-six bhog offered to Krishna. The fifty-six bhog offered to Lord Krishna consists of fifty-six meals which are dear to him.
