TN Govt Pensioners Family Security Fund Scheme Overview

According to the scheme, the contribution of Rs. 20/- per month was deducted from the pension towards the Tamil Nadu Government Pensioners’ Family Security Fund Scheme till their death. In the case of death of the pensioners, after contributing for one year to the fund, a sum of Rs.

Government have introduced an Optional and self supporting scheme by which the pensioners have to make monthly contribution to the scheme till the date of death and in return, the family members of the pensioner will get a lump sum amount of Rs.25000 on the death of the pensioner.

APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF THE AMOUNT

While applying to the Chief Internal Audit Officer for sanction of the amount in the event of the death of the pensioner, the following documents shall be submitted.

1. Application with details.
2. Death certificate of the pensioner, in original
3. Xerox copy of the front page of the Savings Bank a/c Pass Book of the claimant, opened in the I.O.B
4. Legal Hair Certificate in original, if the claimants to  the amount are legal heirs.
5. Consent letters from the legal hairs for payment of  the amount to anyone of them, in whose name the Savings Bank a/c has been opened.
