Subramanya Ashtakam Lyrics in Malayalam
Subramanya Ashtakam is an ancient Hindu hymn which is dedicated to Lord Subramanya. Lord Subramanya is one of the forms of Lord Kartikey who is also known as the Lord Murugan. Subramanya is often depicted with six heads and twelve hands, riding a peacock, while carrying a golden spear. He is said to be the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ അഷ്ടകം കരാവലംബ സ്തോത്രമ്
ഹേ സ്വാമിനാഥ കരുണാകര ദീനബംധോ,
ശ്രീപാര്വതീശമുഖപംകജ പദ്മബംധോ ।
ശ്രീശാദിദേവഗണപൂജിതപാദപദ്മ,
വല്ലീസനാഥ മമ ദേഹി കരാവലംബമ് ॥ 1 ॥
ദേവാദിദേവനുത ദേവഗണാധിനാഥ,
ദേവേംദ്രവംദ്യ മൃദുപംകജമംജുപാദ ।
ദേവര്ഷിനാരദമുനീംദ്രസുഗീതകീര്തേ,
വല്ലീസനാഥ മമ ദേഹി കരാവലംബമ് ॥ 2 ॥
നിത്യാന്നദാന നിരതാഖില രോഗഹാരിന്,
തസ്മാത്പ്രദാന പരിപൂരിതഭക്തകാമ ।
ശൃത്യാഗമപ്രണവവാച്യനിജസ്വരൂപ,
വല്ലീസനാഥ മമ ദേഹി കരാവലംബമ് ॥ 3 ॥
ക്രൌംചാസുരേംദ്ര പരിഖംഡന ശക്തിശൂല,
പാശാദിശസ്ത്രപരിമംഡിതദിവ്യപാണേ ।
ശ്രീകുംഡലീശ ധൃതതുംഡ ശിഖീംദ്രവാഹ,
വല്ലീസനാഥ മമ ദേഹി കരാവലംബമ് ॥ 4 ॥
ദേവാദിദേവ രഥമംഡല മധ്യ വേദ്യ,
ദേവേംദ്ര പീഠനഗരം ദൃഢചാപഹസ്തമ് ।
ശൂരം നിഹത്യ സുരകോടിഭിരീഡ്യമാന,
വല്ലീസനാഥ മമ ദേഹി കരാവലംബമ് ॥ 5 ॥
ഹാരാദിരത്നമണിയുക്തകിരീടഹാര,
കേയൂരകുംഡലലസത്കവചാഭിരാമ ।
ഹേ വീര താരക ജയാzമരബൃംദവംദ്യ,
വല്ലീസനാഥ മമ ദേഹി കരാവലംബമ് ॥ 6 ॥
പംചാക്ഷരാദിമനുമംത്രിത ഗാംഗതോയൈഃ,
പംചാമൃതൈഃ പ്രമുദിതേംദ്രമുഖൈര്മുനീംദ്രൈഃ ।
പട്ടാഭിഷിക്ത ഹരിയുക്ത പരാസനാഥ,
വല്ലീസനാഥ മമ ദേഹി കരാവലംബമ് ॥ 7 ॥
ശ്രീകാര്തികേയ കരുണാമൃതപൂര്ണദൃഷ്ട്യാ,
കാമാദിരോഗകലുഷീകൃതദുഷ്ടചിത്തമ് ।
ഭക്ത്വാ തു മാമവകലാധര കാംതികാംത്യാ,
വല്ലീസനാഥ മമ ദേഹി കരാവലംബമ് ॥ 8 ॥
സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ കരാവലംബം പുണ്യം യേ പഠംതി ദ്വിജോത്തമാഃ ।
തേ സര്വേ മുക്തി മായാംതി സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ പ്രസാദതഃ ।
സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ കരാവലംബമിദം പ്രാതരുത്ഥായ യഃ പഠേത് ।
കോടിജന്മകൃതം പാപം തത്ക്ഷണാദേവ നശ്യതി ॥
