List of OBC Caste in Bihar
The primary beneficiaries of the reservation policies under the Constitution are the Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) have been categorized as Economically Backward Classes (EBCs) in India. Furthermore, this concept was made part of the Constitution in order to let the deprived classes come at par with the privileged classes.
EBC stands for “economically backward class students” and it is used in a scheme called the Dr. Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward Class Students which is effective from 2014 to 2015.Under this scholarship, Indian nationals belonging to General Category whose total income from all sources of the employed candidate or his/her parents/guardians does not exceed Rs.1 lakh per annum are given award.
