Karka Sankranti Puja Vidhi
- On the day of Karka Sankranti, wake up early in the morning at Brahma Muhurta and after taking bath and meditating, take the resolution of fasting.
- If possible, take a bath in a holy river, pond or water tank on this day, otherwise bathe by adding Ganges water to the water.
- After retiring from bath etc., at the time of sunrise, offer Arghya to the Sun God in the east direction.
- For Arghya, take pure water in a copper vessel and mix sesame and hibiscus flowers in it and offer it to the Sun God.
- Now chant Aditya Hriday Stotra, Surya Chalisa and Surya Mantras as much as you can.
- On this day the worship of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu along with the Sun God also has special significance, so you should worship both these gods according to your reverence.
- Donate to a deserving person as per the capacity after the worship is completed.
