Water resources are those sources of water which are useful or have potential for use by humans. Uses of water include agricultural, industrial, domestic, recreational and environmental activities. Virtually most of all these human uses require fresh water.
You can get different types of water from the source of water resource. Different natural sources of water are known as water resources. These resources can be both natural and unnatural. The total available quantity or store of water on earth is called hydrosphere. 75% of this hydrosphere of the Earth is in the form of salt water in the oceans and only 25% is fresh water, of which two-thirds is also deposited in the form of glaciers and ice sheets and ice caps in the polar regions. The remaining molten freshwater is found mainly in the form of water, of which only a small part is in the form of surface water above land or as atmospheric water in the air.

To maintain the existence of life on earth, conservation and protection of water is very important because without water life is not possible. Water helps to continue the life cycle on Earth, with an exception in the entire universe, because Earth is the only planet that has water and life. Water is needed throughout our life, so only we are responsible to save it. According to United Nations operations, it has been found that girls in Rajasthan do not go to school because they have to travel long distances to fetch water which spoils their whole day hence they do not get time for any other work.
According to a survey by the National Crime Records Bureau, it is recorded that about 16,632 farmers (2,369 women) have ended their lives by suicide, however, 14.4% of the cases are due to drought. That’s why we can say that water scarcity is also the reason for illiteracy, suicide, fighting and other social issues in India and other developing countries. In such water-scarce areas, the children of future generations are not able to get their basic right to education and right to live happily.
