Sikshashree Scholarship Application Form in Bengali
The Government of West Bengal has launched a number of projects aimed at making the economically well-off families financially backward. Some of the projects are for the general public, some projects are for the people of certain tribes. One such project is called ‘Shikshashree’. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes have been kept in mind under this project. Girls from such communities, who study in the fifth to eighth classes of a school, will be given an annual allowance.
Objectives of Shikshashree’s scheme
The main objective of this project is to bring back girls from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes to the mainstream of education by curbing the trend of school dropouts. The school usually bears the primary and minimum cost of education. But even then there may be some costs in the education sector that financially backward families cannot afford. At that time, many families decided to drop out of school. As a result, the girl’s chances of being supported in the future are greatly reduced. The beginning of the ‘Sikshashree’ project is to overcome all these socio-economic adversities.
