“Bihar Kanya Vivah Yojana” has been started by the Government of Bihar for the marriage of girls. Under this scheme, the state government provides financial assistance of Rs 50,000 on the marriage of girl child. The main objective of Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana is to stop the marriage of girls at a young age, to stop the evil practices of dowry child marriage. So that girls can get higher education, social development of women can happen and they can get respect in the society.
Eligibility Criteria
- The age of the girl should be 20 years or more.
- Applicant should belong to BPL family.
- The benefit of Bihar Kanya Vivah Yojana 2022 will be given to the native family of the state.
- Marriage registration is necessary.
