Jharkhand government’s Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon presented the budget today, in which a budget of 1 lakh one thousand 101 crores has been announced. According to this budget, the state government will give one kg of pulses per family to 64 lakh families. In addition to the benefits available under PM Awas Yojana, the state government will give 50 thousand rupees per house to the beneficiary to build an additional room. The state government will give warm clothes to the children in the Anganwadi center.
Jharkhand Budget Highlights of 2022-2023
- Jharkhand government will give 100 units of electricity free of cost to the farmers for farming.
- The state government will provide pulses at Re 1 per kg through public distribution system shops.
- Harmonization of infrastructure and welfare schemes in the budget.

- Agri Smart Village Scheme will be started in the coming financial year, under which 100 villages will be selected in the first phase on the recommendation of local MLAs. Overall development of these villages will be done by converging with various schemes by doing gap analysis of these villages.
- A corpus fund of Rs 25 crore will be created under the Jharkhand State Crop Relief Scheme for the loss due to various calamities.
- To develop Gram Panchayat buildings as knowledge centers and to provide reading places to the villagers, Panchayat Knowledge Centers will be set up, on which Rs 21 crore will be spent in the coming financial year.
- One water purifier each will be supplied for availability of utensils and clean drinking water for cooking and distribution of supplementary nutrition in Anganwadi centres.
- After selecting 23 thousand girls living outside the school, they will be enrolled in class VIII and X.
- To ensure quality education to the children, remedial education i.e. remedial classes will be started. 40 crore will be spent on this in the coming financial year.
- Jharkhand government will provide tab to its 42000 teachers. Provision has been made for this in the budget.
- Pragya Kendras i.e. Common Service Centers will be strengthened in each of the Panchayats. The government will spend Rs 45 crore on this.
- To implement the National Education Policy and Right to Education Act, new posts of teachers will be created to bring the teacher student ratio in line with the national standard.
- An additional Rs 600 crore has been proposed in the budget for the honorarium of para teachers. Let us inform that the state government has decided to increase the honorarium of Tet pass para teachers by 50 percent and non Tet pass para teachers by 40 percent.
- Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Rural, the state government will construct an additional room. For this, an additional amount of Rs 50,000 will be made available per house.
- Masalia-Raneshwar mega lift scheme will be started to provide irrigation facility in Dumka’s Masalia and Raneshwar blocks.
- In the budget, priority has been given to the suggestions of the common people, especially the youth.
