Under this scheme, all the laborers of India will be able to take advantage of all government schemes. To make an e-Shramik Card, laborers will have to apply online. Recently Pradhan Mantri E-Shram Yojana was started, under this scheme the laborers working in the unorganized sector can make their labor card i.e. UAN card, for this, on 26 August 2021, the labor portal was started by the government.
The Ministry of Labour & Employment which is one of the oldest and important Ministries of the Government of India, is continuously working on improving life and dignity of Labour force of country by protecting & safeguarding the interest of workers, promotion of welfare and providing social security to the Labour force both in Organized and Unorganized Sectors by enactment and implementation of various Labour Laws, which regulate the terms and conditions of service and employment of workers.
Accordingly, Ministry of Labour & Employment has developed eSHRAM portal for creating a National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW), which will be seeded with Aadhaar. It will have details of name, occupation, address, occupation type, educational qualification, skill types and family details etc. for optimum realization of their employability and extend the benefits of the social security schemes to them. It is the first-ever national database of unorganised workers including migrant workers, construction workers, gig and platform workers, etc.
How To Download E Shram Card
- First of all you have to go to eshram.gov.in website.
- Here the home page of the e-shram portal will open in front of you, which will look like this
- You can see ‘Register on e-Sharm’ button, click on it
- After this another new page will open in front of you.
- Now after coming here, first of all you have to enter your aadhaar number linked mobile number.
- Enter the same mobile number with which you have registered for this labor card
- After this you have to type the captcha written in the image below, now you have to click on send OTP
- Now an SMS will be sent on the mobile number you have entered which will contain 6 digit OTP
- Enter OTP and click on submit
- Here you have to enter the OTP within the given time.
- After entering OTP you have to click on submit
- Now another new page will open in front of you
- Here you have to enter your aadhaar number with which you have registered for e-Shram card
- After this you will have to submit the Aadhar OTP again i.e. an OTP will be sent to the mobile number entered in your Aadhar card.
- Here you have to enter that OTP
- As soon as you enter the Aadhaar OTP, a new page will open in front of you.
- In this page you will have two options on Update Profile DOWNLOAD UAN CARD
- You have to click on the second option Download UAN Card
- After this, the UAN card will be open in front of you, on the side of which the option of download card will be written.
- You have to click on it and PDF will be downloaded.
- Now as soon as you open the PDF, your e- Shram card will open in front of you.
- After that you can also print it
- In this way you can easily download your e-shram card PDF
