Shiromani Akali Dal on Sunday announced four more candidates for the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections. The ruling Shiromani Akali Dal released its manifesto for the February 4 Punjab Assembly elections promising farm loan waivers, jobs for the youth and mega complexes for industry.
The ruling party in Punjab also promised free education to all girl students up to graduation level and government jobs to all sportspersons who have won medals at the international level. The election manifesto for the January 30 assembly elections in Punjab, “Development for All”, was released by SAD President and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal here.
- Taking a pledge to have zero tolerance towards corruption, the party said it would ensure a strong, independent and autonomous Lokayukta in case it comes back to power in the state.
- The manifesto said that boys from blue card holder families would be given free education till class 12 and free cycles would be promised for girl students of classes 9 and 10.
