The government of Punjab has launched Punjab Pension Scheme in order to provide financial security to old age citizens, widows, persons with disabilities, etc. Only those citizens who belong to the economically weaker section of society are able to take benefit from this scheme. This scheme enables all the needy citizens to finance their day-to-day expenses without depending on anyone. If you want to take the benefit of this scheme then you are required to submit a duly filled form attached with all the required documents to the concerned authority. After submitting the form the concerned authority will verify all your documents. After successful verification, the amount of pension will be disbursed into the bank account of the beneficiary. The bank account of the beneficiary should be linked with an Aadhar Card in order to receive a pension.
Punjab Pension scheme has been launched by the government of Punjab in order to provide pensions to elderly citizens of Punjab. For those citizens whose age is between 60 years to 79 years pension of Rs 200 per month will be provided and for those people whose age is above 80 years pension of Rs 500 per month will be provided.
