Sub: – Stoppage of Issue of Corrigendum PPO through legacy in respect of 7th CPC Pensioners.
Ref: – This office Circular No. 647 dated 18.08.2021.
Please refer above cited circular regarding implementation of project SPARSH where it had been directed by Ministry of Defence that all Defence Pensioners Organization should be rolled out on the web based comprehensive pension package system i.e. SPARSH and no fresh sanction will be done through legacy system after rollout of SPARSH.
In this context, it is stated that this office is migrating data of Post-16 retirees from legacy system to SPARSH and approximately 3,00,000 (three lakh) of data has already been migrated from legacy system to SPARSH. Remaining 3,00,000 (three lakh) data will be migrated from legacy system to SPARSH by 31.01.2022. The details of migrated data on SPARSH are also available on website of this office and readily accessible. However, the status of migrated data will be shared with each Record Office separately.
In this context, the competent authority has directed that the issuance of Corrigendum PPOs will be held up till completion of such data migration in r/o post-2016 retirees from legacy system to SPARSH.
Therefore, all the claims for issuance of Corr. PPO of post-2016 retirees notified through legacy system may please be submitted through SPARSH only after migration of data. Further, the claims in this regard which have already been received through Legacy system are being returned by this office unactioned for initiation of the same through SPARSH.
