Subject: Extending new means of identification for continuation of pensionary awards in view of COVID-19 situation- reg.

Sir,

I am directed to refer to this Department’s letter of even no.dated 21.05.2021 and CGDA Hqrs UO No.5637/AT-P/Audit & Payment/Vol-VII dated 18.11.2021 regarding extending the period for new means of identification for continuation of pensionary awards.

• The matter has been examined and it has been decided that the new method of identification as approved vide MoD letter of even no. dated 15.06.2020 and extended upto September, 2021 or till the Covid 19 situation improves whichever is earlier vide letter of even no. dated 21.05.2021, shall remain operative up to March, 2022 or till the Covid- 19 situation improves, whichever is earlier.
• This issues with the approval of Secretary (ESW).
