It has been decided to extend the scheme of engagement of Ex-Servicemen on contract basis for further period of one year beyond May 2021. Engagement should be made in the category of Gateman only with the stipulation that such engagement be restricted to actual number of Gateman already engaged or 50% of vacancy, whichever is less. Contractual staff engaged in excess as well as in other categories may be discontinued immediately.

3. It has also been decided that while employing Ex-Servicemen possibility of engaging Ex- Servicemen through firms approved by Directorate of Resettlement (DGR) available on GeM should be kept in mind.

4. It is also emphasized that above engagements should be phased out gradually over the course of year as regular employees become available from new appointments. This should be closely monitored at zonal level.
